Cadastral Dataset
A Cadastral Dataset is the complete set of information that will be held by the Crown and is required to:
prove a property's boundaries,
reproduce all the property boundaries,
explain how the property boundaries were determined,
identify any problems encountered,
graphically shows the existing occupation patterns,
any other information that may be required to prove the work undertaken.
A Cadastral Dataset will include, a title plan(s), a survey plan(s), survey report, traverse sheets, calculations, and may include occupation diagrams and any other information relevant to assist in proving the decisions and solutions made.
Cadastral Survey Act 2002 - Definition
Section 4
cadastral survey dataset means the set of cadastral survey data necessary to integrate a cadastral survey into the cadastre.
cadastre means all the cadastral survey data held by or for the Crown and Crown agencies.
